Reshaping the Future: The Surgeon as an Educator

15 August 2022

Curiosity is a powerful catalyst in the realms of advancement. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, I've found that the same sinsu of curiosity drives me to unravel the depths of cardiac surgeries and fuels my mission as an educator.

My years in esteemed institutes laid the groundwork for my understanding of medicine. The mentors who guided me through the labyrinth of medical sciences with their vast knowledge and patience left a lasting impact, inspiring me to take the mantle of the educator myself.

The education of newer generations of surgeons isn't merely about the transaction of facts or techniques. It involves sharing values, instilling a sense of responsibility, honing an eye for detail, and most importantly, cultivating a commitment to lifelong learning.

The dynamic nature of medicine, in particular cardiac surgery, necessitates continuous evolution. As an educator, my mission is not just to teach but also to learn. Insights from fellow surgeons, intriguing queries from students, discussions with curious patients all contribute to my reservoir of knowledge. And it’s this knowledge that I want to share with the world, making this space an inclusive platform for learning about cardiac health.

As I extend an invitation to embark on this journey of exploration, learning, and interaction, let's together reshape the future of cardiac health.
